Did The Weeknd sell out two NYC venues in just 60 seconds? If you ask my friends on Twitter who were desperately trying to snag a ticket, that’s the story. Oh well. Guess I’ll be enjoying that boy Abel for them #OVOXO
In joined a sea of thousands (along with Barbz fan #1 Kath3000 in Times Square last night for Nicki Minaj’s interactive, technology-driven concert. Celebrating the launch of Nokia’s Lumia 900 smartphone, the “secret” concert to most (obviously not me, since I was covering it for Rolling Stone) kept fans guessing for literally hours. I also got to see Ms. Minaj up close and personal on the black carpet afterwards. Gorg!
I braved the sweltering, packed Highline Ballroom last night, along with my show partner-in-crime Jenn, to check out one of my favorite “newcomers” Big K.R.I.T. Peep my write-up at Rolling Stone and download 4evaNaDay ASAP (Rocky).
Could this be the greatest day ever? First I get to review Young Jeezy’s Hustlerz Ambition, NYC show for Rolling Stone and THEN Jizzle himself (or someone operating his Twitter account) PERSONALLY thanks me for coming out. Operation: World Domination 2012 is underway.
