Following the footsteps of Subway’s successful Eat Fresh campaign, Taco Bell has launched the new Drive Thru Diet . Spokeswoman “Christine” claims to have lost 54 lbs with 7 items under 9 grams of fat like the Fresco Soft Taco. Numerically the diet probably does work since Christine lost weight by cutting down her intake by 500 calories per day (that’s a whole meal people). What scares me is the idea that drive thrus and fast food are being misconstrued for healthy living. Call me old fashioned, but the Beyonce “maple syrup-lemon juice-drink till I vom” diet works just fine for me.
