Kanye West made a somewhat surprising appearance at the Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival this weekend, performing “Award Tour” with Q-Tip. Peep the performance video below

Usually this is something I would probably be at but I was outer borough jaunting in Jackson Heights, Queens with J Dubs, Hyun and Teresa. We hit up Delhi Palace and traipsed around the hood. Definitely the tastier option.

Clearly my voracious appetite for tacos is getting around…I was invited to the soft launch of Mexicue in Chelsea yesterday. The taco truck-ternt restaurant offers a changing menu of tacos, sliders and sides (did someone say Mac N Cheese with green chilies?) at super reasonable prices. Perfect portable food if you’re in the hood (29th and 7th ave).

The homie Lea and I tried each of the tacos of the day including a delightful bbq rib taco. Insider tip: get the Arnold Palmero. Part iced tea, part limeade, all deliciousness. Pics below!
