Jackson. I was pleasantly surprised that the flick was more retrospective than Paid in Full. Peep my review for the Village Voice here.

If you’re keeping count at home, this is the SECOND Jeezy event I’ve been to with the good old UGG-esque cast. Don’t ever say I don’t take the fall for hip-hop!

This makes me soooo happy. I used to be obsessed with Yo! MTV Raps as a kid.


According to Pitchfork“Yo! MTV Raps”, the pioneering hip-hop television show that ran on MTV from 1988 to 1995, will return for one night only on December 4.

MTV2 will broadcast a retrospective called “Yo! MTV Raps Classic Cuts”, which will include guest appearances by the show’s hosts, Fab 5 Freddy, Ed Lover, and Dr. Dre (not that Dr. Dre) and will revisit iconic songs from the show’s original runs. ?uestlove, Busta Rhymes, DJ Khaled, Q-Tip, Wiz Khalifa, Young Jeezy, Common, and a whole lot more will appear. DJ Premier will remix the show’s original theme song for the retrospective. The special airs directly after MTV2′s Sucker Free Awards.

Attendees included Emil Wilbekin (Essence), Jamie Foster Brown (Sister2Sister), Egypt (WBLS), Jerry Barrow (Urban Daily), Rae Holliday (Stuff Fly People Like), Jenisha Watts (People), and Phaon (Luxurious Prototype).

The gorgeous family fielded questions and gave guests a sneak peek at the first episode which included drama over Toni’s career, men, and family jealousies. Won’t give away too much but Toni’s sister Tamar is offthehook.org. Catch BRAXTON FAMILY VALUES TONIGHT at 9pm ET/PT on WE tv.
