After blogging about Warby Parker's Roosevelt frames in my 2014 holiday gift guide/Sowmya bday wish list, I decided to gift myself with a pair. It was my first time buying anything from Warby Parker and although the company is known for its at-home try-on (The company sends you up to five frames to try on), I went to the actual retail store in NYC's Meatpacking District. The store is super cute. The walls are lined with frames, all unisex, that people are trying on. The customer service is excellent. The salespeople help you in selecting frames perfect for your face shape without being overly eager beavers.
I ended up going with the Roosevelt frames in chestnut, which I think really brighten my face, despite the fact that the sales guy said they were too big. Hey! I know what I like. The glasses are all about $92. Mine were a smidge over because of my prescription. In addition to great style and price, Warby Parker donates one pair of glasses to someone in need for every pair purchased. Look good and feel good!
P.S. You may notice that I am now a blonde. More about THAT in another post!
