#InsiderAccess: Wale previews 'The Album About Nothing' at the 'Seinfeld' diner

Baby it's COLD outside… The weather in NYC has been so blah that I've been in antisocial, stay in the crib mode. Last night, I ventured out and went Uptown to preview Wale's new album, The Album About Nothing. Inspired by (and created in collaboration with Jerry Seinfeld), it was fitting to hear the record at Tom's (aka the famous diner on Seinfeld). Sweet potato fries, wings and other diner treats were served (As we've discussed before, rap journos LOVE us some free food, y'all).

Wale and (a much slimmer) Rick Ross were in attendance, along with all the NYC rap journos. The sesh with was hosted by Elliott Wilson of Rap Radar.

According to Wale, the album is his "most personal" release to date and he intentionally won't have any rap features on it. Folarin played about seven or eight cuts. It's too early to give the album a proper review, however, "Girls On Drugs" and a J. Cole song (the name I can't remember) stood out from the pack on first listen.

The Album About Nothing drops 3/31. Thanks Jason at Atlantic Records, Peter at Chamber Group and the good folks at Maybach Music Group for the invite.
