#insiderAccess: OpenTable x Upland media dinner

You know OpenTable, right? The site that helps us snag restaurant reservations is rebranding--Peep their cool, new logo--and as part of that, is giving away 100 free meals at amazing restaurants in its #100OpenTables giveaway on April 9.  Last night, Open Table hosted a yummy dinner at Upland in NYC for foodie writers to announce the news. I tagged along with the homie Vanita (NY Mag) to the dinner.

Upland is gorgeous. Flatiron is not my favorite hood in NYC but this place is so warm and inviting when you walk in (Just like a hug!). You kind of forget where you are. My favorite part of the decor is the jar of lemons you see right when you walk in. The food was delicious. I stuffed my face (and actually stayed on my diet) with seared squid, lamb, succulent roasted chicken and the best simple salad I've had in forever. If you have a romantic date or just want to eat some good food in a cozy environment, go to Upland.

Good food, good conversation and a dope gift bag with a Chemex coffee maker! I have no idea how to use it, but I'm sure YouTube has a tutorial. Thank you to the good folks at The Door and OpenTable for their hospitality.
