Why can't we all just get along? ICYMI, I was on The Beat with Ari Melber to share my weekly fall backs...including Nicki Minaj, Cardi B and why we gotta put some R-E-S-P-E-C-T on Aretha Franklin's name.
I’ve done a lot of covers but never get to have this meta moment. Me and Gerald aka G-Eazy were backstage last night at his The Beautiful and the Damned tour in New York City. I got to hand him his FIRST COVER EVER!
He was very appreciative and got a little emotional. He also excitedly showed it to his girlfriend Halsey who was in the house. G-Eazy was passed over to be a XXL Freshman so this cover means a lot to him. On stands March 27!
New year. New cover story. For XXL's March issue, I profiled G-Eazy about his new album, The Beautiful & Damned, having a hip-hop hit with "No Limit" and his relationship with Halsey. We hung at the Clocktower in New York City and then at his crib in Los Angeles.
Issue drops March 27.
The Grammys and hip-hop have always had a complicated relationship. From Will Smith to Jay-Z, artists have even boycotted "music's biggest night" for shutting the door on rap. Before the 2018 Grammys, I was on Fox 5's Street Soldiers (and Hot 97) with Adelle Platton (Tidal) and Safaree (Love and Hip-Hop NY) to discuss hip-hop + the Grammys.
