Drake’s highly highly highly anticipated music video for “Over” finally dropped today and the Drizz doesn’t disappoint. He departs from the usual in-the-club motif and with helmer Anthony Mandler gives us a visually stunning look into his introspection. The struggle between good and evil, the juxtaposition between light and dark, or just 4:03 minutes of Drake in his bedroom. I like it!
So what’s the video for “Over” going to look like? As Drake says, “the struggle between the purities of my past life and what this new life has to offer” . Looks like we’ll have to wait until Thank Me Later to see if he takes the virtuous path or not.

Drake performs my favorite industrysexual song “Over” during MTV’s Spring Break. This might be the new official LoRoSo theme song. Nice to see him holding the stage on his own with just a band. I would have liked to see the Driz in shorts or something a bit more colorful (Hawaiian shirt?) but no complaints here.

A very tan and scrumptious Drake talks to MTV about shooting the music video for his first single “Over”. Working with helmer Anthony Mandler (who I just realized was on Twitter!), the eye behind Jay-Z’s “Run This Town” and Rihanna’s “Russian Roulette” among other noteworthy vids, the Driz seems in great spirits and his knee is doing just fine. 
Drake says “The album is about finding love, feeling ‘Have I sold my soul’ as far as ‘Will I ever be able to gain the trust of a woman? (*cough* Sowmya) Will I only be able to be around the dark, evil women? (*cough* Sowmya) Will I ever find that pure love? (*cough* Sowmya)‘ Those elements are in the video. I look strong, I feel great, my knee’s feeling great. I’m jumping around, doing all kinds of stuff.”
