Hell to the naw: The Dream remakes “One in a Million”

The Dream remakes one of my favorite Aaliyah (rip) songs ever “One in a Million”. In the words of Jadakiss, “Why?” If it ain’t broke, please don’t remix it.

The original…still a classic with GinuFINE Ginuwine in the video.

What happened last night: The Dream at Highline Ballroom (NYC)

Event: The Dream feat. Omarion
Venue: Highline Ballroom, NYC
Tunes: The Dream’s many catchy hits (“Falsetto”, “I Love Your Girl”, etc.)
Sightings: Fabolous, Jamal J (Def Jam), Low Key, Nigil D (Real Talk), Elliott Wilson, Erika R (Honey Mag), Esso, Young JFK (Vibe), Julianne (Fader), Tracy G, Brad W + Rae, Kyle, Roberto, etc.

Erika and I hit the very very late Dream show last night at Highline. Terius + his harem of dancers performed all of his catchy hits. My personal highlight: Fabolous came out for a hot rendition of “Throw It In The Bag”. Nicccce. Peep the video courtesy of Rap Radar below. Around 1:30am, I got too sleepy to stay and watch Omarion but I’m sure the throngs of guys still at Highline awkwardly enjoyed it.

Video: The Dream’s too short Grammy speech

The Grammys kept it concise when it came to the Song of the Year winner for “Single Ladies” . Dream et. al (side bar: a lot of guys were surprisingly involved in this girl’s anthem) were quickly ushered off stage before saying much. Ouch. I predict a flurry of viral videos from The Dream and Kanye to follow. Take a looksie. Also Stephen Colbert is hilarious.
